The Masters at the United Martial Arts Centers has a program for adults to better prepare them for the challenges in life. Our program is a mixture of physical development, mental development, and emotional and spiritually development. No matter what are the students goals are, our program is them the path to reach those goals. Not just goals in the Martial Arts, but goals in all areas of their life. Every student will have an individual agenda and the Instructors of UMAC are trained to individualize every students training to meet their specific needs. Our goal is that all of the students have happiness, tranquility, and content in what ever they do.
Physical Development
Physically, Taekwondo training is a great work out. The classes are both physical and aerobic, and with proper commitment, our program is sure to get everyone one in great shape. The great benefit of training in the Martial Arts is that there is the knowledge that is obtained. With our program, students will learn the knowledge of what it takes to defend themselves. The outcome is a program that gets you in great shape along with learning the tools to save your life.
Mental Development
Adults who train in the Martial Arts at UMAC have the added benefit of learning skills that will improve every aspect of their life. Unlike a gym or a tread mill, you mentally are challenged by learning new techniques at each new belt level. With the physical training comes mental training and the, “Yes I Can”, attitude. Students approach obstacles as a challenge that they are to overcome, not as a problem to dwell on. They also become more goal oriented which carries through work, home, and in their training. Students at UMAC also realize that when there is an obstacle or a challenge, when it is approached with a positive attitude, they will over come and be successful on he task at hand. As they become more successful in our program, confidence is built and they become more successful ion life.
Emotional & Spiritual Development
When students train at the United Martial Arts Centers, they develop a greater understanding of the spirituality of the Martial Arts which could be life changing. Our students develop a calm and peaceful outlook on everything they do. The importance of practicing relaxation techniques and the encouragement of eating healthy is emphasized to all of the students. In turn, the students live a life with a more calm, peaceful, and happy mentality.
Adult students at the United Martial Arts Centers gain a benefit in all areas of their lives in and out of the Martial arts. Steven Covey’s, “Seven habits of Highly Effective People”, states that we must "Sharpen the Saw". This means to be as effective as we can in our different roles as a parent, spouse, employee or employer. In order to continually to keep our saw sharp, we must take the time to exercise, eat right, have a positive mental attitude and get proper rest.
Our goal is that every student has forever happiness, in turn, their positive ways will transfer to their family and friends, and then to their acquaintances. The result will be a happier, more peaceful society with less hostility and anger. Wouldn’t that be a dream come true. Through Martial Arts training at UMAC, this could be achieved.
